Meet the
Most Experienced
GI Physicians in Nevada

Tom Fang, M.D.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, and raised in the small town of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, Dr. Fang’s career path in medicine was realized at an early age as he witnessed the healing works of his father and grandfather, both of whom were physicians. He attributes his choice to specialize in GI to his impressive mentors during his residency as well as his inquisitive nature to solve problems, treat patients and to perform technically challenging procedures. Like the early knowledge of his career path in medicine, Dr. Fang knew he would return and call Reno home one day after a brief trip during college when he stopped through the city on the way to Lake Tahoe. Dr. Fang settled in Reno in August 2015.

Dr. Fang practices all aspects of general gastroenterology and hepatology with special clinical interests in pancreaticobiliary diseases. Additionally, he enjoys performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP).

Dr. Fang strives to practice professionalism, thoroughness, empathy and compassion as he believes that the foundation of world class medical care is based upon a positive partnership between physician and patients. His passion for his career in medicine drives him to continually think of ways to improve the outcome of current endoscopic techniques, developing new endoscopic procedures, medical device development and quality improvement to improve safety for patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Fang enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, traveling, learning about history and culture and exploring all the outdoor activities such as biking, snowboarding, hiking and camping that Northern Nevada and Northern California has to offer.

Todd McIntosh, APRN, FNP-C

I am a Nevada native that has lived all over the state until settling in Reno in 1995. I now live in Sparks with my wife and two children. I have been in GI nursing for the past 6 years and look forward to furthering my GI journey as an NP. I feel that gastroenterology is an important piece of a persons’ overall heath and it is one of the aspects of healthcare that can often go unaddressed until it is too late. I hope to educate my patients about the importance of GI health and treat those in need.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family in activities such as camping, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles.

Jeannie Fahlquist, MSN, APRN, FNP

Jeannie is one of our first hospitalist nurse practitioners for GI Consultants, joining the practice in 2020. She comes to Reno from Montana, but she grew up as an Air Force “brat,” having lived all over the country, including Maine, Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, and Montana. In 2008, Jeannie acquired her Nurse Practitioner’s license from Montana State University and began working in gastroenterology. She brings over eleven years of experience in gastroenterology and another year of experience in addiction medicine.

With all of her experience working in gastroenterology, Jeannie’s clinical interests are in Hepatitis C and chronic liver disease, but she enjoys all aspects of the gastrointestinal system and liver health.

Jeannie originally left Montana because she wanted new mountains to explore – with two college-aged children that were tired of the ice and cold, they packed up and joined us here in Reno. Jeannie and her family enjoy hiking, riding ATVs, playing Bingo, and going to rock and roll concerts!

Michael Bellucci, PA-C

After being raised here in Northern NV, I’ve spent the last few decades calling Reno my home.

I’ve always been fascinated with both medicine and the intricacies of the human body from a young age. After starting my first job in medicine as a CNA, I was introduced to the human element of medicine, where I discovered what it meant to care for those who could no longer care for themselves. It was after this that I sought a role that would allow me to blend both of these passions into one, and becoming a Physician Assistant allowed me to do just that. Many of the conditions we treat in GI may seem rather benign on the surface, but ultimately have the potential of really impairing one’s quality of life. Knowing this, I truly enjoy connecting with my patients on a deeper level and working together to promote their overall health while seeing them make strides in their own personal health journey along the way.

Outside of work I can be found pretty much anywhere outdoors. Whether I’m trying to lower my handicap on the golf course or fly fishing on the Truckee, as challenging as these hobbies are, this is where I’m most at peace.

Amelia “Amie” Mangune, APRN

Amie served 10 years of her nursing profession since graduation in the Philippines. She had the opportunity to continue her nursing career in the UK for 6 years and eventually moved to the US in 2006. Most of her professional experience is in critical care. Taking care of the extremely sick patients in the ICU gave her the perspective that most of the causes of these critical medical conditions are preventable. She found the passion of empowering patients and their families in their health journey through education. Knowledge is power, and the more knowledge or understanding that those patients and their families have or received, the more they become empowered with the choices that they make.

GI conditions are complex, and a lot of patients have a tough time balancing a healthy quality of life. She wants to be there to listen to her patients on their health journey, establish a good relationship, respect every culture and be an advocate for a healthy well-being for patients’ best interests.

Outside of work, Amie loves to cook, hang out with friends and families, and travel whenever she gets the chance.

Amie is seeing and accepting patients at the Reno-North office location on 880 Ryland St.
