Mary Helmreich, MSN, APRN, AGACNP
Mary is a native Nevadan, born and raised in Reno. She first attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where she attained her first bachelor’s degree in general studies with a focus on health. This is where she discovered her passion for healthcare, and soon after graduation she moved to Las Vegas to pursue a nursing career. In Las Vegas, she attended Roseman University of Health Sciences and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Soon after, she returned to Reno to work as a nurse at Northern Nevada Medical Center. Mary was at NNMC for over 7 years as a nurse, during which time she returned to the University of Nevada, Reno, to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing and become a nurse practitioner.
Her passion for healthcare stems from her love of caring for and working with patients. She finds it rewarding to develop meaningful and engaging partnerships with both patients and colleagues to ensure safe and compassionate patient care and to help improve quality of life for the Northern Nevada population.
When Mary is not caring for patients, she enjoys exploring all the fun activities that Northern Nevada has to offer, especially with outdoor activities. She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. When not in the great outdoors, she also enjoys reading, gardening, and discovering the great restaurants Northern Nevada has to offer.
