Jesse is a native Nevadan who grew up in Carson City and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000. He went on to complete his Master’s degree as a Physician Assistant in Los Angeles, graduating in 2005. After graduation, he practiced in Denver, Colorado until 2020, when he and his family returned to Nevada, the place he proudly calls home.
Jesse’s passion for medicine began in high school, when he underwent surgery for a bone tumor. The compassionate care he received, particularly from the Physician Assistant on his care team, inspired him to pursue a career in medicine.
He has a special interest in caring for patients with Hepatitis, stemming from his years working in Correctional Medicine in Colorado, where he developed a strong dedication to supporting those with Hepatitis C exposure and treatment needs.
Outside of his professional life, Jesse has been married since 2011 and is the proud father of two children. He is an avid musician who plays bass guitar in a band, and he also enjoys playing recreational ice hockey. In addition, he loves hiking, golfing, and skiing in Northern Nevada’s great outdoors.
