George R. Winters III

M.D., FACP, FACG

A military brat, Dr. Winters moved around a lot as a child. He attended Cornell University on a ROTC Scholarship, followed by the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, and his GI Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He then spent 5 years overseas as Chief of Gastroenterology at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, before working in Bellevue, WA and Grand Junction, CO. He is board certified in Gastroenterology, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Winters enjoys all aspects of GI care and is excited about making Reno home. Outside of work he loves live music (mostly obscure alternative bands), reading, and spending time outdoors with his wife Erika.
