Matthew Koval

Matthew has a wide variety of experience in geriatric and pediatric nursing, acute hospital care, and nursing management. As a Reno/Tahoe resident since 1994, he understands the culture of Northern Nevada and the value of close-knit communities. This background forms the foundation for the compassion, empathy and genuine concern he feels for each of his patients and their families.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Grand Canyon University and his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from United States University (USU) in San Diego. He is also a proud graduate of Incline High School (Go Highlanders!) and still loves pine trees and cold water.
Matthew and his wife (an RN-trained school nurse) are proud parents of six children ranging in age from elementary school to young adulthood. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, fishing, riding and servicing motorcycles, and pretty much anything that allows him to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
